Crossroads and Beanery Aug 3 and 5

Had good music nights.  Played a Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline and then 2 Irish numbers - The Wild Rover (clapping) and the Gypsy Rover.  At the Beanery I did five songs.  Sweet Caroline again and Song Sung Blue along with Taylor's Sweet Baby James, and Croce's Operator and added the Gypsy Rover. Small but good crowd.  Sorry to miss Nathan.

Great night in Sidney Center - Good folks, friends and new friends.  Steve and Claire were there as we brother Pete.  Ann's family added a special touch as did some of the other kids.  Lucas led some of the music and a good time was had by all.

Thanks to Bill we had a real diversity of good music.  Bill had a terrific song that the kids (and all of us are kids) really enjoyed.

August 7 at Sidney Center

Good night in Media PA on Friday night and Sunday Night Ice Cream Social in Sidney Center.  Met former student which was quite a thrill, since he actually remembered me from 42 years ago.  My how time flies.

See you there!

Ice Cream Socials - Sidney Center

Sunday nights at the Maywood Depot (Sidney Center) have occupied our time the last couple of weeks.  Thanks to Richard and Ella, we have discovered the music of Don Williams.  It has changed my listening habits a lot.  I cannot believe that a never heard of a person with 71 albums!

We look forward to another Sunday evening at Maywood August 8th, but will be at Crossroads tonight and the Beanery Friday night.

July 4th Ice Cream Social - Sidney Center NY

Great time had by all.  Ice cream, homemade pie and good fun.  I played some almost new songs, oldies and we all sang and had fun.  See you next week.

Friday Night at the Beanery

Don and Steve did a great job filling in in for Aubrey who was missed along with his news of the week and trivia questions.  Hurry back Aubrey - we miss you.  There was a full house and at least one performer who was new to me, but recognized by most.  I did two songs from the 60's (Barry McGuire's 'Eve of Destruction' and Peter Paul and Mary's 'Day is Done'. A recent Alan Jackson song ('Livin on Love') completed my songs for the night.  It was a great night with a real diversity of music and poetry - including a real 'tear jerker' from Bill. - Great night had by all - thanks Steve and Don.
